Alex Ware

Alex Ware is a New York based artist who graduated in May, 2022, from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in dance as well as minors in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, and Social and Cultural Analysis. Alex is a physically fit dancer and artistically attuned mover trained in styles of contemporary, ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, tap, musical theater, and acrobatic dance. Most recently she has had the honor of performing repertory by Stephen Petronio as well as new works by Yin Yue and Chelsea Thedinga. In addition to the NYU faculty, she has had the opportunity to train with Victor Quijada of RUBBERBANDance Group, Peter Chu and company members at ChuThis Movement Intensive, and Gibney Dance Company Artists. She is also excited to study Crystal Pite Repertoire in August of 2022 at Orsolina 28. While she aims to dance professionally following graduation, she also has a strong passion for teaching and choreographing and wishes to continue those facets of dance through her career. Alex hopes that throughout her career she can make dance more accessible, restructure how it’s taught, and feed her artistic vision by reflecting social injustices back at society. Alex is excited to join CoreDance Contemporary for their 2022-2023 season
